Most of this *assumes* the motor is the limiting factor. If the teeth in your filament drive "gear" are plugged or worn ... fix that. If your spring tension is to low ... fix that. If your filament spool hangs up ... take care of the issue. There are a lot of reasons an extruder will stop pushing filament. You can run a hot end cold enough to stall any extruder, each filament brand (not type) is different ... never assume 185 C is "ok".

Can I ask for your sources about the Titan? I have been thinking about upgrading from the direct feed, due to the 3:1 gearing ratio. I have a typical wades extruder that has had zero issues while my direct feed has had a few instances of chewing filament.

Plus I like the idea of potentially using a pancake motor as I am only using 1.75mm Filament.
