Dr. Adam Summers, Professor of Biology and Aquatic and Fishery Sciences at University of Washington, began scanning fish specimens back in 2000 with the help of hospital CT scanners. With a dream of completing scans of every one of the approximately 25,000 fish species, he realized he needed a more cost- and time-efficient manner for his project.
