NanChang Researchers Using 3D Printing To Innovate with Antibiotics
Chinese researchers from NanChang University may be using 3D printing and innovations with materials to change the landscape of antibiotics use, and help eliminate the potential for drug-resistant strains. Using ‘highly efficient antibacterial agents,’ the scientists have created a ‘supramolecular antibiotic switch,’ which allows them to manipulate the medication which they can even use in a bandaid or bandage which can operate conventionally or as the user presses it, release medication.
