Using 3D Printing and Scanning to Enarge Tiny Bones
Paleobiologist Dr. Roger Close recently discovered the jawbone of a tiny, mouselike creature that existed in the Middle Jurassic Period. With the help of i.materialise, he 3D scanned and printed the fossil to a scale of 20 times its original size, enabling him to discover details that were invisible before.
