3D printing is being used to help Megabots, Inc. is trying to raise $500,000 in its Kickstarter campaign to upgrade the giant combat robot -- Mk.II. This robot is 12,000 pounds heavy, 15 feet tall and can shoot cannonball-sized paint balls at 120 MPH. But that's not all. Megabots challenged Japan's Suidobashi Heavy Industries, the creators of the world's first giant combat robot, to a duel. Suidobashi responded, but added that it wants the robots fighting hand to hand combat. This gives Megabots one year for its modifications. If you can donate $150 to the Kickstarter campaign, you can receive a 3D printed mini replica of this giant robot that is making robotics history!
