FluidWRITER - Print Electronics on 3D Objects
As the drive continues for the latest technology to be slimmer and smaller, industry players are rising to the challenge--including for antennas, a critical component for smartphones. San Diego-based Pulse Electronics has unveiled their new FluidANT line, which includes the FluidWRITER printer that is capable of printing antennas onto three-dimensional objects, showcasing an impressive ability to streamline the process. The FluidWRITER has a 6-axis robotic arm, as well as two additional rotational axes to move around an object to print antennas using an inkjet system, printing with a micron-sized silver particle ink onto substrates such as polycarbonates, polyamide and ABS.
