Aldric Negrier, a Portuguese designer and 3D printing guru, says you can build an enormous version of the Prusa i3 Printer for around €300 euros, or $320 USD. Negrier wrote an Instructable post for the project which includes all the necessary design files, a complete bill of materials, and some very helpful tips on building and finishing what he calls the Mega Prusa i3 Rework. Negrier is also the inventor of the BuildersBot, and he's written a post which will help you build one of those as well.
