Staples & Sculpteo Team - New 3D Printing Service Launches
Office supply retail giant Staples has teamed up with French 3D printing service Sculpteo, with a new online 3D printing platform set to launch the week of September 14th. The 3D Printing Cloud Engine platform will allow users to upload or select a 3D design in any of 26 formats, and customize it through the addition of text, images, figures, etc. before having it printed--with mroe than 40 material choices--and shipped right to their doorstep. This week retail office supply chain Staples launched a new online 3D printing service that offers customers the option to upload or purchase 3D models from home. The new services is powered by the Sculpteo Cloud Engine API and has a simplified and easy to use interface. Users can upload their own models, or purchase from a curated selection of available designs, and even modify them to suit their specific needs or tastes.
