The down-side of a Bowden tube delivery system is the lag or slop in the tube. The upside is the reduced weight on the x-carriage hence reduced inertia to overcome. Resolution to me is all about repeatability - ie how close can you get to the same point every time you go back to it.

Repraps can also reach those tolerations,
Mine has a precision from about 0.1 - 0.2 mm, in the X and Y most of the time dead on (standard caliper (0.05 +-))
The height well, the lowest layerheight i've tryed is 50 microns (0.05mm) and went pretty well.
But the Z can sometimes be off for like 0.1-0.2mm, depends how well the Z is calibirated.

You might tell the differance bettween 100 microns and 25.
Printer will print perfect...
