funny noise FFCX pro
Greetings all.
Well the induction of a new guy starts again for you gentlepeople, sorry.
Have just been playing with my new FFCX pro model and luv it
How ever... when printing a thin wall box as a cover for the SD card reader,
it seems to make a funny noise on certain sides.
please see video.
Is this sound normal?
settings.....
ABS.... 70 /100
with thanks
Steve

it is just moving back and forth really fast to extrude a wall slightly bigger than the nozzle size. It sounds normal.

Ok. Then thank you. I thought that something was loose.

There is a slight clunking noise. I would loosen all the set screws on the pulleys and drop a bit of blue threadlock on them and retighten. This is easier if you take the sides of the machine off if you do it. It makes it easier to get to the set screws. Make sure acceleration is on in the firmware, mine was off when I got it.

Wilco. Thank you.
Just a side point, we want the machine environment to be warm, right, so wouldn't the internals be better off white not black? White or I was thinking alfoil, to reflect the heat back at the build plate rather than absorb it??
Also I have some questions about some preferences on the LCD screen but as I am printing I will have to wait so I can read them.
With thanks......
Steve.

No color doesn't matter. Blocking off airflow if you are printing abs matters.
nooby question,sorry
