Hey all,
Is there a way to join the end of one spool to the beginning of another spool ... accurately?
Thanks,

There are many articles on filament splicers and how to splice filament together.

I keep forgetting about this.
I bought a set of cheap hair straighteners to make a splicer with.
They are ideal as they consist of flat plates that heat up to 180c. Just need to make matched halves for each side and job done.
One of these days Ill remember, when I've got the time and inclination :-)
The first link is a non starter: https://www.artesea.ch/products/tech...splicer/cancel
That's worth reading for anyone thinking of either buying into a crowd funded project, or thinking of starting your own. He clearly explains the issues and problems.
But has also given me a few ideas on how to make my own splicer.Last edited by curious aardvark; 04-05-2018 at 06:16 AM.
