Ye Glow in the dark seems a bit expensive,
In every shop that has Glow In the dark its a little more then normaly.
Of course Makerbot as being expensive even asks more then normal shops do,
In Reprapworld thats around 38 euro/kilo, when normal fillement is 20euro/kilo.

We have had some off-brand Glow PLA in our lab for a while, and I just printed something in it the other day.
For the most part, I can't even really tell it's glowing but I haven't really tried to get it to, either...
If you want, I can find out where it came from and give a link. It was probably way cheaper anyway.

I don't know how good Makerbots glow in the dark filament is but I can guarantee that glow bug yellow from Faberdashery is excellent. I also tried the one from Reprap world, it glows nicely but during daylight it is dull grey color which makes it a bit unattractive. It is also more brittle than the glow bug yellow which by the way has friendly light yellow to green color during daylight.
Glow bug is more expensive though. You can get 100m (880g) for 31£.
