We've seen 3D printers made of an impressive array of materials, and the latest one is a DIY project out of the Netherlands created using a 3D printer. Harold Reedijk has over 14 years of experience with computer system engineering and software programming, and over 2 years experience with his Ultimaker Original 3D printer. He's been hacking his own printer for some time already, adding and replacing parts, and has now progressed to what seemed the next step: making a printer on his own. With access to aluminum extrusions and ColorFabb XT filament, Reedijk created his own 3D printer, based on his Ultimaker Original.
