While President Obama makes it clear that it’s imperative we get kids on board with STEAM learning and curriculum, Autodesk has been busy concurring loud and clear. Earlier in the year they announced that they would be offering $250 million in free software to U.S. students and schools through their ‘Design the Future’ program. Now, Autodesk has announced plans to expand the program worldwide, with the potential to reach 680 million students and teachers with their free 3D design software that currently has students learning applications like 3D printing of prosthetics, sustainable housing, and fun items like the ‘Energy Scooter.’ Further details on Autodesk's program can be found here: http://3dprint.com/27990/autodesk-design-the-future/
