3DP4E is aiming to bring 3D Printing for Everyone, and that includes young artists. With the support of Shapeways, the startup has just opened an exhibit at the Children's Museum of the Arts called "Into the Third Dimension: 3D Printing for Young Artists," running November 20th through January 11, 2015. The exhibit features pieces from the CMA's permanent collection next to elements from the paintings that have been rendered and 3D printed by Shapeways. A concurrent drawing workshop will also enable 20 randomly selected participants from a raffle to have their drawings turned into 3D printed pieces. 3DP4E has also just launched a new website, Kids Creation Station, where kids' drawings can be turned into 3D printed pieces.
