RepRap has risen to prominence in helping make 3D printers more accessible. The latest machine to arise from the RepRap community is called the Skeleton 3D, and features a lightweight -- only 5 kg! -- build and a simple look, and was specially designed with portability in mind. Available in 23 files for download from Thingiverse and GitHub, the Skeleton 3D is still a work in progress, but features some solid specs in this first generation.
