Quite possibly the world’s youngest venture backed entrepreneur, still just 12 years old when he burst onto the 3D printing scene after winning the attention, and funding of Intel, Shubham Banerjee still has his feet on the ground. Despite receiving what is possibly in the neighborhood of hundreds of thousands of dollars of support for his Braille 3D printer, the now-13-year-old has no plans to set aside his education. He was first inspired to create a 3D printer for Braille when he read a flyer that was handed out as part of a fundraising campaign. When creating his printer, he incorporated an Intel Edison chip and it was as a result of this that he came to the attention of the company that has seen the value of his contribution and provided significant funding.
