Ready to move to ASA and ABS printing
I have been printing PLA, PETG, and TPU for several years, but without an enclosed and heated cabinet I have failed miserably with ASA and ABS. I would like to find a suitable 3D printer for these filaments where direct drive, print quality and no warping are the highest priorities along with a bed size of at least 8" x 8" (200 x 200mm). A dual extruder is a nice to have. Other bells and whistles like WiFi and auto leveling are acceptable but not required. Would like to keep this under $1500. Really looking for some nice ASA and ABS prints.
Any suggestions?Last edited by PickyBiker; 03-09-2021 at 10:33 AM.

I built an enclosure with a single sheet if plywood it has been working for 4 years.
The cost was the price of one sheet of plywood and some wood glue a few nails a couple of plastic sheets for doors an a long hinge.

Updated power socket to 4 plugs. Needed for two raspberry Pi Octoprint controllers.
I also have a 2200Smart APC UPS battery Backup the enclosure plugs into.

Thanks, but I need another printer too so I figured that if I am going to buy a new printer, it might as well be an enclosed unit.
