That’s worth a shot, I did a marlin upgrade earlier this year and should have the firmware clean with the necessary changes for my printer, I’ll re-flash back to that and see if it helps. I can’t go factory restore because I have installed the E3D v6.
The hollow model came out the same as previous attempts

Do you have Linear Advance and S-Curve Acceleration both enabled in the firmware?
I had an issue with really rough bow surfaces on the Benchy while using Linear Advance. Disabling S-Curve Acceleration fixed that problem. They apparently don't go well together.

I’m pretty sure I’ve got linear advance disabled, I was actually looking into how to enable it but with a job Ive needed to print this last week I haven’t been able to check my firmware. Some models I have designed myself that have curved surfaces seem to print fine, I even printed half a sphere both as a dome and as a bowl, and they printed fine
Please explain to me how to...
