Makerbot object orientation
I've printed a few things on my new replicator2. I want to print a tooling plate. The bottom of the plate is flat, yet Makerware orients the plate (seemingly precariously) on a mounting edge. Is this the best position to print? I don't see a tool to rotate the model before "making" it.
thanks for any advice!

I'm pretty sure this is not the optimal orientation, I agree. However I don't use makerware so I couldn't help you for that.
However, have you tried to tweak the origin and orientation in the STL file ?

MAKERBOT ORIENTATION.jpg I do not have an object in there, so the prompts are not there. click on your object, then click on turn, and you have the option to rotate...... then it will let you move to platform again.

THANKS Kennycoulter. I was spinning the view, but not seeing the way to spin or rotate the object. Simple now that you point that out!
