Makerbot chip blown
Hi i have blown a chip on my board and i cant see what number it is due to the damage .
I think its a voltage regulator i can only see the last 5 numbers which are 5970a .
I attach a picture with the chip circled in red .
If you want to know how i blew it , i connected the power the wrong way round loll.
Thanks for any help.

point is, the picture you posted is too low res to see which chip you mean.
There is no visible chip circled.
So nobody can tell you because we don't know which chip you want identified :-)

I have just looked at again with a microscope and i think it says LS970A but i can only find an LS970D . rather than waste time on it i have purchased an Anet board for ?13 and will just use that it will also give me auto leveling.
