This one looks great! I wonder what's the texture of it. Would it be suitable as a toy for a 8yo child?

Texture is the usual from FDM print. The figure measures 60mm, so I think it's very small for a child of that age

so how come the shoulders are so polished and shiny ?

May be the quality of the photo, pieces are as they came out of the printer
