NASA recently carried out a new series of tests on their ever-evolving 3D printed rocket engine. The latest tests incorporated a new combustion engine, which, while not 3D printed, was critical to testing the other 3D printed components and making sure they could function together during a long-duration burn. The next step will be the addition of a 3D printed oxidizer turbopump, created in collaboration with the NASA Space Technology Mission Directorate’s Game Changing Development program, which is also funding the development of a 3D printed combustion chamber. The engineering team hopes to be able to test the 3D printed chamber in the summer of 2017. Read more at 3DPrint.com: https://3dprint.com/160079/nasa-3d-p...-engine-tests/
