Hotend T0 (T zero) pins not working

Looks like the hot end thermistor port on the Ramps 1.4 board has quit. Display says Extruder at 75C when at room temperature or even with the thermistor unplugged. I have a spare thermistor for the hot end and the results are the same using the back up thermistor. So, my question while I order a new board is can I switch the hot end extruder thermistor to use T2 on the board? Need to finish some Xmas printing and it picked a bad time to go funky.... Hopefully it is just a change in the configuration or pins setup but I don't find an obvious place in the files to make a change like that.

Update I found the answer. yes you can switch thermistor ports by redefining the pin number in the 'pins.h' file associated with your particular board.

You can use any thermistor input for any function if you don't mind messing with the firmware.
