Two UK companies, Newbury-based Progressive Technology and Birmingham’s Innovate 2 Make, have merged this week. They will be known together as Progressive Technology and will be offering a center for precision machining and 3D metal printing. While they embrace the new technology of 3D printing, they still see great value in traditional methods such as CNC machining and plan to combine the two indefinitely. While they will cater to industries such as aerospace, automotive, and renewables, the company is also already launching a ‘spin-out’ company with Mirada Performance Products, targeting the cycling industry.
