Ogle Models certainly seems to get the exciting 3D printing projects. Headquartered in the UK, they were recently enlisted to make 3D printed parts via SLS for a racecar to be entered in the formidable IMechE Formula student event. Students from the University College London had already worked on their racecar for a year and needed assistance with some of the more complex geometries. The Ogle team was well aware of how precise each 3D printed part had to be, so they worked to precise measurements, 3D printing with glass-filled nylon (PA3200) to add necessary strength, durability, and temperature resistance.
