The RoVa4D, made by Ontario’s ORD Solutions, is not just a full-color 3D printer, but it also offers a blender mechanism that allows you to mix an unlimited spectrum of colors. You can delineate where colors go on your model, meaning that you can paint your 3D print. PLA materials can also be mixed and combined, and who knows what you’ll come up with there! This is a true maker’s innovation dream in terms of hardware. The Kickstarter campaign has been wildly successful, reaching the established goal in the first hours and then soaring to over 500% of the goal in the first week. Some updates have been made as the campaign nears its close tomorrow: the build height for the printer has been increased, taking the build volume from 12 x 12 x 12 to 12 x 12 x 18. Numerous other interesting updates have been documented as well, from tradeshow information to new features in slicing software, along with showing off some great new prints, such as the bust of Walter White—even featuring glasses and a hat!
