A team of researchers and artists have reconstructed the face of a young Egyptian woman who lived around 2,000 years ago. A mummified head in the possession of the University of Melbourne was recently CT scanned to check for signs of decay, and a whole project unspooled from there. The scan was used to 3D print the skull, which became the base of a sculpture that approximates the woman's actual appearance based on forensic reconstruction techniques. The scans also revealed information about the woman's age, cause of death, and more. Read more at 3DPrint.com: https://3dprint.com/146536/3d-printing-meritamun/
