Egyptian fashion designer Sara Hegazy has been working in the fashion industry for twenty years and has won numerous awards for her bold designs. For her next collection, she's planning to incorporate 3D printing and fiber optics, which she admits will be a risky move, as the Egyptian fashion industry doesn't particularly embrace creativity. However, she and Mohamed Hegazy, the director of a design studio and fablab focused on technology and technological education, believe that the country may be ready for 3D printing on a wider level.
