With this recent financial backing, Glowforge plans to bring their desktop 3D laser printer to mass production, and eventually into schools and businesses around the world. The laser printer utilizes subtractive manufacturing technology, and is capable of printing designs into a multitude of materials, including leather, hardwoods, fabric, plastic, paper, chocolate, and more.
