San Draw Medical made quite a splash at CES Asia in Shanghai recently as they unveiled their 3D printed IV Injection Trainer. Meant to make life easy for medical students training to learn how to give injections, the device comes in a complete kit with a removable skin patch that is really the central focus. 3D printed with FAM technology by Gary Chang and Michael Lu, both Stanford University alum and the founders of San Draw Medical, the trainers present a whole arm, hand, and the tools needed for practicing giving injections. The kit costs $399 with replacement skin pads available for $99. The company plans to expand soon too with 3D printed suture pads and more.
