Over 200 entries into the Shell Eco-Marathon challenge gave a taste of what the future could hold for hyper-efficient cars. While some of the cars are so purely conceptual that they barely resemble what we know as vehicles for human transport, those entered in the Urban Concept category had to meet minimum height and width requirements, have four wheels, and lights. A team from Singapore entered a car with a chassis that is fully independent of the 3D printed body as part of an exploration for the possibility of rapidly created, fully customized vehicles .
