    Have you made any rings from castings that you printed with the printer.
    I think there are some people making cast to make molds for making metal rings.

    How do you get the metal ring out of the 3d printed model. Do you make a mold from the 3d printing and then pour into
    that mold. Ive seen people mill on cnc cast but not on 3d printer.

    She's printing the ring as a positive model, not a mold. (No, you can't pour hot metal into a plastic mold.) But using a version of the very old lost-wax process, she can pour a plaster-silica material all around the model, bake it in a kiln until the plastic vaporizes, and fill the resulting cavity with metal.

    Sounds cool. Interesting. I have seen people make a sand mold for clay potery.

    Do you have pictures of the steps used to make things this way.
    I might want to give it a try sometime
