Sculptris is awesome- Agreed. A total ZBrush gateway. You can even paint directly inside of it, which is nice.
RE: Cost- Yeah. Everyone's beef. I printed a small boardgame that I wanted to prototype, and I ended up spending $120 via Shapeways... which would have probably cost like $20 with a home-printer (Makerbot/what-have-you). To Shapeways' credit though, they do have a very large material selection, and there have been times when printing in colored sandstone was nice.
I was on another post and someone was suggesting I do the same. Could you please PM me, and go into more detail? (Only because it's getting a little off-topic). I purchased a wax pen sometime back with intentions to do something similiar, but after I picked up ZBrush, I didn't really know what the point was.
Please explain to me how to...
