While visually impaired people can read thanks to Braille, they've never had ways to experience things like art and historical artifacts. 3D printing has been changing that. Recently, the Virginia Historical Society and Virginia Commonwealth University 3D printed several artifacts, including George Washington's signature, so that visually impaired visitors could hold, feel and experience them in a tactile way.
