Australian designer Mike Le Page has produced a new design close to his heart on numerous levels. While it’s a technological feat, producing a 3D mode of a dove with wings that flap realistically, it represents his challenge to make something that could not be produced any other way than 3D printing. He was inspired to make the Dove design as a symbol of peace and freedom during 2014 while fighting was ongoing in Crimea and Syria. He also liked the idea of being able to use the ‘Dove’ as a gift for cheering up others, also inspired previously during his time spent working in a children’s hospital. The 3D printed design is available on Shapeways, retailing at $90. Read more at 3DPrint.com: http://3dprint.com/117277/3d-printed-dove-moving-wings/
