    Greenport High School Has Awesome Lab with Eight MakerBot Replicator 3D Printers

    Thank goodness for those teachers who truly go the extra mile and are the ones you remember later as having had an impact in your life--and learning. Greenport High School teacher Michael Davies is definitely one of those educators--and his technology lab at the Long Island public school is certainly proof. With a knack for making contacts and getting donations, he has been able to build a 3D printing lab with eight MakerBot Replicators valued at nearly $50K, fully stocked with filaments and other necessary items. The children are enthusiastic about their technology course, staying late after the bell rings even. There are two technology courses at Greenport High, with a total of 38 students.     now that is inspiring. Just wish this had all been around when i was at school.
