We first wrote about the Open Space Agency in 2014, as they were beginning the beta testing for their 3D printed, open source telescope. Now the OSA has released the first set of instructions and files for 3D printing and laser cutting the parts for the Ultrascope Explorer Plus, which utilizes a smartphone to take photographs and record data from the night sky. This marks the latest step in the OSA's mission, which is to create a global network of citizen scientists to assist with the research of major space agencies - right from their own backyards.
