Ann and Jeff Ross, the founders of HiveHaven, developed their unique bee boxes to address some of the major threats to honeybees and stingless bees, a native Australian species. Made from recycled plastic, the boxes provide protection from predators, disease, and extreme heat. Right now the boxes are being milled by hand, but the Rosses hope to eventually start 3D printing them so they can be mass-produced.
