    HMS Trafalgar Model

I bought a OBJ model submarine from turbo squid that I need to print out in sections to be about 4 feet long. How do I slice the model? I tried Mesh but it says the models has too many errors. When I try to repair the errors the entire model goes away.

Any help would sure be appreciated.

    Hi chief,
Turbosquid is typically not a good 3D printing library because most of the models are not made thinking about 3D printing. What I mean is : the models are not "watertight". They are just planes and surfaces artistically positioned.

1/ Try and contact the seller to see if he can help you.
2/ You tried Netfabb for the repair ?
3/ Try it the old fashion way and try to "isolate" the faults by cutting the model. That way at least you'll have part of manageable size, you may be able to "go around" the faults and perhaps the bits remaining will be easier to repair.
4/ I don't use meshmixer too often but you may find a tool in it to hand stich some points together no ?

it might also be easier to design your own submarine.
submarine would be dead easy to build in openscad.
