When the Governor's Mansion's Christmas Tree needed to be decorated, the folks in charge of that issued a call to Virginia localities to produce representative ornaments to adorn it. One of the places that created an ornament is Occoquan, VA, a historic hamlet just outside of the DC Beltway. Vicky Somma, a local artist and expert ornament designer, was called on by the Occoquan Business Guild to create their contribution. The piece that she produced is a 3D printed miniature version of the Mill House Museum, a place of particular importance in the history of Occoquan and one that, appropriately, indicates the town's ongoing commitment to both its history and its future.
