    Well today I had my first time to print in PETG. It seems to print with very similar settings to PLA but the object is very flexible so I doubt I can use it to print new gears for the X and Y idlers.

    can you get carbon fibre reinforced pet ?
    That would be more rigid.

    Okay the 'getting parts made from aluminium' - anyone guess how much that might cost ?
    I'd go for: not cheap.

    Should not be flexible. I printed rock hard Wades gears from PETG.
