Researchers at Switzerland's Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne have created a novel concept: robotic origami, or robogami. The tiny robots are capable of folding themselves, moving, and reacting to their environments using embedded actuators. Robogami, the brainchild of Assistant Professor Jamie Paik, has the potential to be used in multiple fields from medicine to the military. Also, it can be 3D printed.
