FARO has officially released their ridiculously powerful Freestyle3D X Handheld Laser Scanner capable of capturing detail down to one millimeter from up to one meter away. The handheld scanner will include a connected tablet device that allows users to monitor the scan data collection in real time as well as an automatic flash mode that will collect data even in low light conditions. The scanner can be used as a standalone device or paired with FARO’s stationary laser scanners and any collected point cloud data from both devices can be seamlessly integrated, even while in grayscale mode.
