Engineering with Robotics student Alex Crease of San Francisco created a colorful and intricate toy robot he called GearBot as its transmission is comprised entirely of gear mechanisms. Most parts for GearBot were 3D printed using his MakerBot Replicator 2 and the .stl files are available on his Instructables page along with thorough, step-by-step instructions and a supplies list. Check out more of the fun behind GearBot's creation in our full story: http://3dprint.com/89688/3d-printed-gearbot-project/
