    Technology Orchestra

In the running for the 2015 Hackaday Prize is an impressive orchestra of technology. From South African robotics enthusiast Laurens Weyn comes a "hardware and software project" that brings together a Printrbot Simple 3D printer, along with two old floppy drives and two hard drives, controlled by a central Java program. Instructions from Java are sent to each of the 'instruments' in MIDI files, with the code running over 5 threads to play synchronized music. You have to hear it to believe it! Check out details, as well as videos showcasing the project, in the full article: http://3dprint.com/82527/technology-orchestra/
