Is GE About to Buy Out 3D Systems? Seems That Way
GE Aviation, part of multinational giant General Electric, is set to 3D print more than 100,000 parts by 2020--and it would streamline the company's efforts if they acquired a 3D printer manufacturer. Some buzz in the industry has been circulating about the potential of GE buying out 3D Systems (NYSEDD). 3DS, for its part, has seen shares and market cap plummet over the last 18 months. Check out more details about why such a deal would make a lot of sense, and what goings on have supported the theory, over at 3DPrint.com: http://3dprint.com/73885/ge-buyout-3d-systems/
