Portuguese designer João Duarte has created an impressive 3D printed lighting fixture with a great design and appealing cost--and he's made his process available on Instructables, so for only about $30 you too can make your own unique DNA lamp. Duarte designed his lamp using Tinkercad and printed all of it except for an acrylic tube and the necessary electronics. Using glow in the dark PLA, the DNA helix glows even without the LEDs turned on. Check out details about his process and videos of the Arduino-controlled rotations in the full story: http://3dprint.com/72035/3d-printed-dna-lamp/
