printing sticks is it possible
Hello,
I should print sticks with diameter of 0,5mm x 20 mm.
But the sticks should stand.
Is this possible?
When I use skeinforge with layer setting of 0.05mm sticks with a diameter of 1mm x 1 mm is printed.
0.5mm x 0.5mm are not in the gcode-file. Are there settings which I should tune?
My printer is Wanhao Duplicator 4S.
Thanks
Hans

half mm 'stick'
given that your extrusion width is 0.4mm, you are seriously going to struggle with a 0.5 mm column.
And it's going to be weak as anything.
Also do you mean: 0.5mm or 0.05mm you typed both - 0.05 is not possible with fff. Hell 0.5 probably isn't unless you have a 0.25mm nozzle.
1mm thick is probably the best you're going to get.

Bore the nozzle out to 0.5 and extrude then cut to length.

Wouldnt it be easier to purchase 2-4m lengths of your diameter of choice and then cut it down from there?

Copper wire, needle have their own standard set. You may want to check if it solve your problem before throwing yourself into 3D printing.
