A 3D Printed Buzz Trace Game
Tony Jones has created a new toy that serves as not just a game of skill, but a demonstration of the capabilities of 3D printing's always advancing materials. In collaboration with GlobalFSD, Tony used a sample of Proto Pasta's Conductive PLA filament to make a "Buzz Trace" out of eight 3D printed parts. To play, you simply guide the handle around the trace without touching the line, or a buzzer will sound--such games are typically made of metal, and the fact that this one was completely 3D printed using plastic filament serves to show the advances within the materials space. It will be on display at GlobalFSD's exhibit space at the TCT Show in September. Check out more details and video of the game in action in the full story: http://3dprint.com/63125/3d-printed-buzz-trace/
